오디널스는 비트코인 사토시 순서를 세는 알고리즘. 오디널스라는 이름은 순서라는 의미. 제네시스 블록의 채굴이 된 제일 첫번째 사토시가 0번 오디널(사토시)가 되는 것. 누군가가 0번 사토시를 갖고 있고, 해당 사토시에 이미지를 박을 수 있음
탭루트 소프트 포크(탭루트 소프트 포크는 2018년 1월 비트코인 코어 개발자 그레그 맥스웰(Greg Maxwell)에 의해 처음으로 제시. 2021년 11월 진행)를 통해 메타데이터가 4MB까지 체인 위에 올라갈 수 있음. 체인 위에 데이터를 올릴 때 데이터 양이 커서 수수료가 커짐. 75% 수수료 할인해주는 Witness Discount 적용. 더 할인된 수수료로 메타데이터를 체인 위에 올릴 수 있음. 과거에는 어떤 데이터가 보관되어 있는 장소에 대한 데이터(용량 제한 80byte)만 기록. 온체인에 미디어(데이터) 자체를 올리는 시도는 이번이 처음
